The subtlest chewing gum ad ever.

(click ad, via) Though, this Hubba Bubba ad (the bottom ad) is very subtle, too. Via Ogilvy Cape Town, SA, So: While I appreciate a gum ad that doesn't show gum or bubbles, I do have a problem with this idea—I seriously doubt South African schoolchildren are chewing a gum called "Stimorol" (tell me I'm wrong, locals). Previously: Roundup of big bubble gum advertising.
UPDATE: Idea is NOT original.
You suck, Ogilvy, South Africa.

I can't speak for South Africa but Stimorol is pretty big in Europe, so it seems feasible that it might be big in other non-US territories too...

You're wrong, Stimorol is one of SA's most popular chewing gum brands.

That's not what I wanted to know: Is it popular with young schoolchildren, or is it more of a teen/adult gum? Because the ad implies it is chewed by young kids.

It's popular with everyone because it is cheap. Problem with this is that Ogilvy Cape Town tends to make ads that are too intelligent for the target audience...whether it's the kids or their parents...

Why does the ad imply that the chewing gum is chewed by young kids? The pictures can represent a high school or even a college too... Or don't?

Yeah its popular with the "Youth" in SA, why are you asking for kids in specific- desks such as this could be used by anyone as young a 6 year old to a twenty something in college.

Because in my experience, "youths" way more than older students stick gum under desks.

Sorry, but teens do that more than young children...

You should have withdrew it before, since it is not proved here who stick gums under desks... Neither school children or teens...

This is a copycat and the idea is done earlier for Sportlife chewing gum in 2006.
