Graphic Designers, how bad is the Advertising Week 2011 logo?

What are we, empty-headed, gaping dolts? Pumpkins (save the insides for making pies)? What the Hell is this? Graphic designers, please weigh in.

Criminal.
Having a hard time believing this is real — that a professional graphic designer would put together that sliced-open head graphic, that color scheme ("I just pick the first three stock swatches I see in Illustrator!"), and that type (is it that hard to align the text in the middle of the circle?).
Hahahahaha
Oh, it's real:

Looks like a logo for 'Mentally Challenged Week' 2011
You could say it's 'scattered'. Or just shit.

Even the website is ugly. All those rainbow colors probably are meant to symbolize diversity (heh).
Look on the D of advertising where they've converted the type to paths and then managed to move one and not notice.
Top job.
It's a scalped old-school PBS logo right?
Advertisers will chop the top off the public television socialists and fill them up with advertainment.
apple logo - mistreated!
I-)
Hey at least it's not in comic sans. : /
I'm sure a client services person put it together, because they thought they were better at design.
Yeahh... someone made the intern do it I'd assume.
this is what happens when you "design by committee"
If you look at the inverted form, it looks like man with a gigantic nose, with a booger about to land on his lip.
Did the same person who designed the London Olympics design this?
