NYC area Jews and Muslims to be assaulted by these atheism billboards.

(click, via Animal NY)
The group behind the effort is the American Atheists.
The top board will be erected in Muslim-heavy Paterson, NJ. The bottom one will be going up in an orthodox Jewish neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Bets on which one will be destroyed first. I'm going with the Arabic one, burnt to the ground right proper. Previous Atheism billboards:
Minnesota (comical).
Arizona (shit-ugly)
Canada (love it)
London ("there's probably no God")
Bill Gates & Warren Buffet—"good without God".

RE: Bets on which one will be destroyed first. I'm going with the Arabic one, probably a suicide bomber will take it out.

I don't know ranter, what with Iran out there and "Mormons Still Baptizing Dead Jews Despite Agreements to End Practice" at home, this might be the last straw that breaks the camel's back... I'm betting on Brooklyn.

Um, you may want to reverse which sign get hanged where. The bottom sign is in Hebrew and will be in Williamsburg, the top sign is Arabic.

If you are right, these atheist are dumbasses.

'Assaulted,' 'Suicide Bomber?' What's up with this? I'm now curious to know your views on Islam

I know next to nothing about Islam, so I have no view...except that I don't like the way our governments—city, state, and federal—are violating Muslims' privacy rights.

Atheists are pushing back. They're not starting the fight.

Yes, we are pushing back, but I think saying "you know it's a myth" might be taking a bit too confrontational approach here.

"There's probably no God" is by far my favourite of these. I think we, atheists, do ourselves the most favours by being honest about our own uncertainty, curiosity, and desire to find/make meaning in life without appealing to a higher power/purpose. When we're smug or fanatical, we don't make much of a case for ourselves; instead, we make atheism just look like another religion.
