UK Date Rape spot alarming, powerful, real.
Via the UK Home Office, the commercial was created purposely to teach Brit boys what "rape" is. And they'll hopefully be watching it while not having sex (or masturbating) so that the blood will be in the right place for them to get taught. Place it in the "commercials that would probably never air in the USA" folder. No, here we get victim shaming ads like these. Ad agency: RKCR/Y&R, London.

i'm not as impressed at this as you are CR.
most dudes are aware what they're doing and do it anyway. the dude yelling at himself if kind of cheeseball IMO.
Most do, yes. But if you saw the background video (I didn't post it), a fairly large size minority of 18-24 year-old British boys (around 30%) didn't think that scenario was rape.
disturbing and well-made. I wish there were more ads like this
i'm so glad you posted this. it's a strong, hard to watch counter-narrative to the incessant victim blaming we get in the US, and aimed to the right audience.
That was painful to watch because it felt so real, even if the dude yelling at himself was kind of corny. It does ask the "date" rapist to step outside himself for a minute, which is a nice antidote to the endless victim blaming we get in the states.
