China Ad Watch: the Grim Reaper is maybe not the best image to put in Toyota ads these days.

(click ads, via) You know, what with that little "sudden acceleration" problemo. The copy translates to talk about Toyota's Global Outstanding Assessment, and how that protects consumers when accidents happen, and so Mr. Death there is not so threatening, but THE GRIM REAPER SHOULD NEVER EVER BE IN A CAR AD, ESPECIALLY YOURS, TOYOTA. Ad agency: Dentsu, Beijing.
