What would Jesus do about this banned mobile phone ad?

(click ad, via the Guardian)
Well, the ad gods of the UK—aka the Advertising Standards Authority—banished this Phones4U advert to Hell because it "gave the impression that they were mocking and belittling core Christian beliefs." The ad ran in national papers before Easter, but the story only surfaced today, for some reason. It received 98 complaints from busy-body believers. Which do you think God prefers: iPhone, Android, or Blackberry? Here's four previous recent UK ads banned by the ASA for implied racism, gruesome violence, sexual Geisha violence, and objectifying women.

Not to mention lifting the "Buddy Jesus" from the Kevin Smith movie, Dogma.

It's offensive because it suggests that Jesus would need a mobile to talk to you.

It was the Buddy Christ, not Buddy Jesus. But I think Kevin Smith might still have something to say/tweet about it.

I thought it would have bee insulting because of the insinuation that Jesus wears black nail polish.
