His subsequent bowel movement was a little on the dark side.

(click ad) It's an ad version of Nighthawks. No, I don't know what the fuck Darth Vader is doing in a European McDonald's ad (part of the new "come as you are" campaign by BETC Euro RSCG in the UK). And, I don't know why a couple is making out hot & heavy behind his lordship. And, well, I just don't know about this ad whatsoever. Maybe Vader is having lunch with Andy Dick? Or Usain Bolt? Maybe he has a hankering for their human finger fat fries.

The ad that's paired with this one in Paris features King Kong's hand, having broken the window of the McDonald's, being handed a take-away bag by a smiling young woman employee.

The ads are clearly trying to appeal to alienated youth. (Another ad, showing before movies in Paris cinemas, features a young man in a brightly colored poncho being kicked out of a McDonald's by an officious manager because of his "clownish" apparel, and then at the end being told it's all a candid camera joke.)

I would bet that the blackness of the characters in the billboard advertisements is not coincidental.

Complicating the racial picture, the young woman employee in the King Kong ad is white, whereas McDonald's employees, at least in Paris, are of North African or Sub-Saharan African origin.

Insane doesn't even begin to describe the combination of influences here. Wow. It's both genius and sheer stupidity, this ad.

Something is a bit off. Look at the feet. Is the bottom half of his torso sitting, while the upper half is hovering at the table? Definitely, Lord Vader has mad dark force skills. Or bad Photoshopping...

Nah, I reckon it's an attempt to reference Eddie Izzard's "death star canteen" sketch. Bad one, at that. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8d_l-p6rUNI)
