An even AWESOMER Ambient Hot Wheels Installation.

(click image, via) Being a man of a certain age (fucking old), one of my favorite childhood memories is sending my Hot Wheels hot rods down that orange track ramp into the loopty loop and watching them crash. That wonderful memory came roaring back when I saw the above installation, via Bogota, Colombia. Cool. Ad agency: Ogilvy & Mather, Bogota. This is even cooler than the roadside Huge Kids Hot Wheels installation currently up in Mexico, simply because, I HATE kids.

Amazing installation, but it would depress me to live where the sky, judging by the fill in, is most often a dull, dull gray.

That is Bogota's weather for most of the year. Oddly, they're huge ice cream consumers.

It's really not that bad here. Sure, there are a lot of overcast days, but they never stretch on for too long, unlike places like Seattle or Grand Rapids.
