The first ever QR code Ass-vertising.

(click image) Zara Dampney and Shauna Mullin, British beach volleyball champs, have given their asses over to UK bookmakers Betfair for a reported high five-figure sum. Drooling spectators who manage to snap a smartphone butt shot will be taken to Betfair's website. Interestingly, Mullin, who has a degree in marketing, said just last week: "Here in England, we are still stuck at the stage where people think beach volleyball is about sex, not a sport."
Well, this move will certainly not help with that at all. Previously in: Ass-vertising.

Nice idea. Unfortunately the coverage won't last long - 'British' and 'Beach Volleyball' isn't really a match made in heaven, they will be knocked out in the first round.

Fantasstic product placement! Clearly women's volleyball IS about sex, betting, and advertising - not that there's anything wrong with that.

I did not know that women's volleyball was about sex. What about men's volleyball? If you ask me, beach volleyball in general is about sex.

Too bad it wasn't J-lo playing... You'd get more bang for your buck. :-)

No, it's really not. Women playing a sport doesn't make it inherently more sexual than men playing it, and women are not inherently more sexual just by being women.

True word. You're right. It is a crap, sexist, playing to the lowest common denominator campaign. Of course it works, but the fact it leads you to Betfair will turn out to be not a good idea.
