Cool Spot of the Day: FedEx "Dominoes"

The Rube Goldberg-esque device has been used as a creative linchpin several times in recent years. (Two examples: this cute spot using dogs for the Ford C-MAX, and this intricate spot using car parts for the Honda Accord.) But this one involves a Canadian goose, an American Pomeranian, and a hockey stick!—so being the biggest ad blogger hockey fan in the world, I had to post it.
It's a tad too long, and in this high-tech digital age, impossible to tell if it's legit. But I still liked it. Ad agency: BBDO Toronto (I think).

Nicely done, but 1) waaaaaaaay too long and 2) super boring. The most boring commercial I've seen this week. The US FedEx spots are so much better.

Yeah, it's boring. But its quiet calmness lowered my blood pressure this morning. Plus, hockey stick.

Agreed that it's too long. And "We make less urgent shipping to the US awesome" Is that Canadian english?

Client-speak, probably.

it's not too long - it's kind of boring. there were a couple of times where it looked like one of the boxes would not hit the next one. i found the background grabbing my attention away from the action. and what's with the cameras on tripods that are scattered around?

music = johnny cash, right?

I-)

Best part of the commercial? Inspirational poster in the Goose's office: "C'est la V" with a bird formation directly behind.
