THIS is how to promote a budget hotel.
The Hans Brinker Budget Hotel in Amsterdam is a shithole. It has a been a shithole for 40 years. Rather than disguise its shitholiness, the hotel, via Amsterdam ad agency KesselsKramer, has for years trumpeted it, mostly via print ads.
Now, keeping with the budget theme, they're looking for your video ideas. If your submission gets 1,000 views, theyll pay you 10 whole Euros—which is "equivalent to almost half a night of luxury at the Hans Brinker." Submit videos here. Watch one of the recent agency-created videos below for inspiration.

It's actually not nearly as much of a shithole as it makes itself out to be, but that's part of the point. It's actually quite nice as far as hostels go, with five-or-so person rooms and semi-private bathrooms. But they sell midriff shirts emblazoned with the words "Hans Brinker: Eco Friendly" and, at night, instead of the lit up sign reading "Hotel" it reads "Hell." Quite funny.
Yes, I did notice that it's nicer than it's portrayed in the videos.
An opportunity for Copyranter to showcase his talents. The 10 euro he can donate to a charity (Save the Children or Make A Wish Foundation).
