Meet the GEICO octopus.

(via) He's pitching home owner's insurance, though I'm surprised he doesn't, a la World Cup Paul, predict how much you could save by switching to GEICO. This could quite possibly signal the start of a veritable flood of Octopi-vertising. It is also maybe the silliest commercial I've ever seen, and the type of non-idea I, as a smug young ad man, used to dream of successfully pitching to a brave/stupid client.
