Man murders man, chops him up, then sanitizes hands (Purell commercial).

(via)
Approved by the client! At least, that's what I'm going with until they prove to me different. He's a dreamy hunk of a murderer (Ford model/actor Gabe Witmer), right ladies, gay men? The song (Rob Dougan - Clubbed to Death) is wrong, wrong, wrong (should be Slayer [I'm kidding]). And, as usual with these things, it's too long by half. And the dumb himbo left his fingerprints at the scene.

disgustingfreakycreepy as hell • bizarre as fuck.

No way that's a real ad. If it was handled humorously, perhaps, but the murdering part goes on way too long.

Yes, I know it's not real (I give up with you people).

He'll claim temporary insanity, gay panic defense, but this often fails, and has been ruled inadmissible in many jurisdictions because of a complete lack of scientific research to support it.

This fast drying, ethanol based Purell?

A bleeding, sore, lot of good that'll do him in prison.

He doesn't even seem to have done a good job with the Purell. In the car, his hands still seem pretty bloody (maybe that was before he disposed of the body? Either way, the victim's blood is all over his steering wheel).

BOOORRRRRRRRRRINNNNNG.

About 1:45 of that 2 min ad is useless, dragged out exposition.

How can a spec, "edgy" ad end up being such a yawner?

Warning agencies! Do not hire this dude to do your edgy campaigns.

Maybe he had this fingerprints removed and Purell is his calling card. Come on peeps, give some creative license here (though at nearly 2 mins, this was a bit of a David Lean production).

Perfection.

Maybe a bit long, but by the look I'm assuming this director is film, not advertising. The Vimeo paged confirmed that. Film directors are notorious for this. Check Guy Richie's commercials.

Overall one of the better film looking commercials I've seen.

Nasty idea, poorly executed and about 1.5 minutes to long.

@ Vinnie

Re: A spec spot for Purell - 'Kills 99.9% of germs so you can be 99.9% normal'

NOT!!!

Alcohol based hand sanitizers are poor at killing viruses. ABC News reported: "Water removed 96 percent of the virus; liquid antibacterial soap removed 88 percent; and the hand sanitizer removed only 46 percent."

Back to more pressing matters... will you be using your new When You Wish upon a Star avatar just for the Holiday Season and going back to the man in a lampshade/paperbag in the New Year?

@-1-T-M-

Howie Mandel on "On the Record," December 21, 2009.

MANDEL: Nobody wanted to touch me. They said put this on yourself.

You offered me the Purell, the anti-bacterial, which I can't use. I love it, it's a phenomenal product. I'll tell you why, and it's in my book. When I was doing my talk show, I had a talk show in the '90s, a daytime talk show, and at that time I didn't talk about my mental issues. So I would shake hands instead of saying I'm a germaphobe, but I was a germaphobe, and I would soak in it.

VAN SUSTEREN: You didn't bathe in it. You didn't put it in the tub.

MANDEL: To me that's like a dream. I would love to. That would be a very -- anyway, I lost my train of thought because that is such a wonderful, sexy thought, bathing in Purell.

Vis a vis my avatar, I will be changing it soon. If you find a cool avatar that you think I should use, let me know.
