Strange Image of the Week, #2.
The service is called Advertickets. It places your message on train tickets and boarding passes and such. None of that is important. What is important is why the art director felt that photoshopping/retouching this man into a mutant would be a good move. Also, Cantmissable?

If you're trying to get head from this guy in a dark train tunnel, his extra-wide mouth is "cantmissable!" (Jury's out on those freakish bug eyes.)
Ho. Lee. Shite.
Anonymous - the extra large eyes are for seeing in the dark train tunnel, duh.
There seems to be a lot of that kind of Photoshopping going on, both by pros and by amateurs with PShop Elements. People apparently find it *hilarious*. I find it creepy, and also cheap (as in, a cheap parlor trick).
If your face pulls that high-G accelaration look while you're on a plane, then it means you're about to die.
The ad makes the concept of "hand to hand advertising" about as appealing as the concept of "hand to hand combat," and the guy in the picture looks like he's just encountered someone with hostile intentions and better training.
Seriously, the cartoonish photoshopping has got to stop. They do it for pet food commercials and ads with babies... It's absurd and ineffective. Right on, amym, it is creepy and cheap.
reminds me of those steve madden shoe ads with the creepy manipulated giant head models. but this one looks like software from 1995.
please let's not stop at the art director - the copywriter is equally idiotic for introducing "cantmissable" into the lexicon. Almost as bad as "comtastic".
