copyranter recommends a site.
It's the Advertising Age Adages blog (link), written mostly by AdAge editor Ken Wheaton. I like it because it covers ad and media related stories that don't appear on the sites of the usual ad and media suspects. I also like it because the posts are short and to-the-point; I'm daunted by lots of words.

adage's answer to adfreak?
and the stuff there does appear on everything from adfreak to adrants to makethelogobigger to, well, copyranter.
I like it better than adfreak and adrants because they don't do as much ad reporting (which bores the Hell out of me. who cares what ANYBODY [that includes me] thinks about Geico ads, Pepsi cans, etc.)
Sheryl Crowe's endorsing a one-square-per-wipe toilet paper policy? To save the earth you have to go around all day with a burning butt? Not this lay a log guy.
maybe that's why lance armstrong dumped her. no pun intended.
Problem is, without Geico ads, my blot traffic evaporates like a Knicks lead.
one square? seriously? that is sick Sheryl. nobody likes a chick with skid marks in her panties.
Needs more pictures. I like pictures.
took a second look at this "out of site" and now i'm wondering if you aren't romantically involved with wheaton. i mean, come on, there is way too much copy in the blurbs. wheaton's weekly column has shorter bits. and the stories are straight off the ap entertainment wires. given the number of ad-related blogs out there, this one definitely doesn't warrant a third visit.
I wish!ru
naw. i'm the longtime companion of bob garfield.
wow, that's weird. I thought I only typed "I wish" in that comment. I think I accidently typed some of my verification code in there.
