How many pallbearers does it take to carry an anorexic's coffin?
(click ad, via) Black humor is—maybe?—not the tone you want to use in an anorexia awareness ad. (I avoided a "make light of" quip.). This one, via the Tel Aviv office of McCann Erickson, is for an Israeli nonprofit called Beitech. "15% of women who suffer from anorexia will die this year." Looks like a Photoshopped stock image. Obvious stupid creative comment: Coffins are damn heavy even empty.Previously in anorexia:
• models lighter than cotton.
• Bergdorf Goodman model as skinny as an auto lock jimmy.

Yes, this will be the first time an ad has used hyperbole to make a point.

From a practical standpoint, at least make sure the one pallbearer is in the middle, or underneath. Sheesh.
I wouldn't consider it shite, just typical dreck. meh.
It's tasteless. And shit.
The main issue is that it is kind of funny. It is clever but probably not the right subject to pull humor from.
