Men will wear condoms during oral sex the day after the world ends.

(click image, via) To raise awareness that STDs can be transmitted during oral sex, French ad agency Luvi Ogilvy created these fake lollipop condoms. The red cards were put in displays (I guess not in candy stores, or other stores where an 8-year-old might grab one). Only after peeling off the wrapper did people realize they got a rubber and not a sucker. Pretty uninspiring stunt—a stunt that will of course never ever happen in America.

Seriously? People still make ads like this? It's like ad school circa 1992.

It's not unheard of in the US. I've got a few lollipop condoms in the bottom of my drawer from on-campus health promotions. If it was supposed to promote safe oral, I never noticed. I never used them because they were cheap, unbranded, and unlubed.
