Butt Billboard Banned in Russia. Why?

The Office of Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has ruled this board for a Saratov travel agency indecent, and asked the business to remove it or face a fine of up to 500,000 rubles, according to adme.ru. FAS says that an "indecent image of a woman's body cannot be placed in a public place." Poor local travel agency. They watch Aeroflot, Russia's largest airline, send out a calendar like this (seriously nsfw) and one of the country's biggest car insurers produce a video like this (seriously nsfw) and a tire commercial like this and beer packaging like this and a vodka ad like this and a tomato juice banner like this and a movie trailer like this (nsfw) and...why wouldn't they feel compelled to put some thong bikini bubble butt on a vacation billboard?

Hypocritical, but a promising start.

Let's hope this anti 'Kardassian' backlash will soon reach US shores.

Once they remove that ad, the next one will have a man's butt on it to get around that wording. haha
