Another ad copywriter makes the rest of us look like douchebags.

(click ad, via) Not that most of us aren't douchebags (me included). But still. This little love letter to himself was written by DDB Stockholm douchebag Magnus Jakobsson. It's actually an ad for edgy entertainment retailer Papercut. Your headline sucks, Magnus. (note: yes, douchebag is a tired, overused word, but it is still the perfect word for ad copywriters.)
Previously in douchebag copywriters:
copywriter uses Hitler endorsement letter.
German agency's douchebag recruitment ad.

A huge bowl of hash preceded the writing of that piece, written in four minutes.

Psst, yes. And I also realize that there´s a real person behind the writing? I just wanted to compliment the blog/writing on the blog/the person behind it. Whatever. Guess I failed.

Anywhoooooo, sorry?
We can´t all be reading the classics, you know.

Mags: I meant no offense by my comment; I was just relaying that the writer behind this copyranter character sometimes doesn't really believe the stupid words written on this blog.

Magnus, will the story of your life's book be available on Amazon ?

Can't wait to read it... again.

The only people who give a rat's ass about copywriting are copywriters. No one else cares -- hell, no one else can even tolerate more than bullet points anymore -- which, in turn, is why we all hate ourselves and all the others who are either better than or not as good as we are.

I though the ad was pretty good myself, in as much as it didn't deliberately insult me or cater to a four-year-old's attention span.

Maybe it's because I'm an Art Director but this seems more self-indulgent than a Radiohead album.
