Software giant finally updates idiotic bridge ad.

(click ads) For several years now, $5.6 billion Fortune 500 software company SunGard has been running the same ridiculously stupid bridge metaphor ad (left) in tech mags. They even kept running it during the Minneapolis bridge collapse. But now, after probably dozens of high-level brainstorming sessions, they've unleashed the second execution (right) in the campaign. THREE gaps in a bridge instead of one...much more insightful (scanned from the latest Information Week). previously in Wall Street bridge disaster ads.

It's not just that the concept is lame. That copy sucks out loud. Whoever wrote it deserves a sharp punch in the balls.
