The best "Save The Animals" campaign I've ever seen.

(click ads, via)
The campaign is for German non-profit Bund, "Friends of the Earth." It won a Gold Lion at last Summer's Cannes Festival, and it just garnered a Silver at Europe's prestigious Epica awards.
As regular copyranter trolls know, I hate people and love animals. These images very effectively convey the urgency of the eco-disaster us scumbag humans shit upon nature daily, hourly. Some pithy ad critics have called the ads too "see-say". (That's a stupid phrase from our stupid buzzword-obsessed industry that means the visual is just repeating the headline.) To these critics, I say, see this. Ad agency: Scholz & Friends, Berlin. View some previous interesting World Wildlife Fund videos and print ads here.

Effective because of the doomsday-clock reference, I'd say. Overtly, it says that by continuing to degrade the environment, we are ensuring the loss of countless other species. Covertly, it suggests that we ignore this situation at our own peril.

I changed "visit" to "shit"——much less pretentious now.

Really like these.

Does the trace of blood under the seal make that ad too grisly? Are the others less effective because they lack blood traces?
