The most decadent cola commercial ever made.

(via) Es ist verrückt! 1968. Germany's Afri-Cola. "People consciously enjoying their time." Dig that drug music, man. The nun scene caused Germany Cardinal Josef Frings to mention Afri-cola in connection with the "denigration of the church". Germans. Perverts (nsfw). Related: German ad agency Jung von Matt last year produced the strangest cola print ads I've ever seen.

The important messages about cola are just as relevant today as they were in '68.

German and Austrian ads of that period were insane. Check out this one for a shoe retailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8JuapMsgKc&feature=related

The person who did this commercial was Charles Wilp, a famous German designer, photographer, and ad man. He also did the Afri Cola print ads, which were equally whacky. Here's one:

The Afri Cola commercials can be viewed at the Pinokathek Der Moderne Museum in Munich.

Did you pay attention to the shape of the bottle?

An interesting juxtaposition
