There's pee in your butt.

Anti-tobacco extremists , as part of a new "infect truth" campaign, placed ads (this one was from the December Fader) with two of the above removable yellow splash stickers in them. Citing a "1993 tobacco industry document," they claim that cigarettes contain urea, aka carbamide—a nitrogenous compound found in the urine of mammals (science is hard.). Also in the ad, to set an example, the truth infecters stuck one of the stickers over the head of the Camel cigarette camel on a deli poster.
Here in NYC, most delis already smell like pee, so this guerrilla marketing would just add to the ambiance. Plus ex-smoker and Mayor/First Nanny Mike Bloomberg, who's done everything short of making smoking a felony, will now probably order a million of these babies and personally plaster 4 or 5 of 'em on every tobacco poster in the City.
previously in tobacco:
1. Tastes Good Like a Cigarette Should. Redux.
2. Taglines are DUMB: tobacco edition.
3. Retro cigarette ads.

Is that an additive?

From Wpedia: "Urea is essentially a waste product; it has no physiological function."

What doesn't kill me makes me stronger. Or something.

Ooh, ooh, nitrogen! Only the most ubiquitous element in the universe. Or is that hydrogen? Helium? Any case, there's a whole lotta nitrogen out there. So don't run away scared. Smell the urea. It's everywhere. And it's goood!

ricpic it's not nitrogen it's a nitrogenic compound big difference. It's basically piss, and everyone knows you can drink your pee 7 times before it kills you. Or something. Urea is also chemically very similar to ammonia (which is also a nitrogenic compound), actually that's the reason why we produce urea we break down the ammonia we produce during digestion into something less toxic. Urea is also the key ingredient in my foot lotion and my feet are as smooth as a baby's bottom. With that said I love the ads...especially the one with the cowboy with the hole in his neck who sings that song:
No you don't always die from tobacco
Sometimes you just lose a lung
Oh you don't always die from tobacco
Sometimes they just snip out your tongue
And you won't sing worth a heck
With a big hole in your neck
No you don't always die from tobacco

That commercial always freaks my 10-year old sister out so I think they're doing their job.

urea is actually in almost every commercially available shampoo, but I haven't seen the anti-hairwashing campaign yet.
