(nsfw) the pierced nipple in this ad actually makes sense.

(click ad, via) Which sets it apart from most bOObsVertising—though, that certainly doesn't make it a good ad. It's running in the most recent issue of Seventeen magazine. Kidding. This is a Serbian ad by Belgrade's McCann Erickson, the agency that created this questionable suicide prevention bridgevertising in August. I will never watch the show—or any MTV show—unless forced to, Clockwork Orange style.

Quebec AIDS coalition appeals to materialistic Gays.

(click ads) The press note accompanying these ads for the Quebec Coalition Against AIDS (COCQ-Sida) reads: "The campaign focuses on objects highly appreciated by homosexuals, using evocative symbols to offer the target audience a different take on the issue." A different take, indeed! That take being...highly insulting? "Please wear a condom for me, lover. If not for me, then do it for my Mini." Poor asphyxiated Chihuahua. Ads by Montreal agency Marketel. (images via) previously in AIDS ads: Mick and Madonna's alleged sex lives. MTV's old-timey porn AIDS ads. Sarah Silverman's leaked World AIDS Day song. Ken Cole's insipid AIDS ads, one two. And, the coolest AIDS prevention ads ever produced.

MTV throws us a few boners.

It's tits and dicks week here on copyranter. I'm sure things'll return to the usual high level of sophisticated discourse tomorrow. Previously, MTV Brazil used smelly shit humor to promote itself. Now, MTV Argentina has produced phony prodigious pubescent protuberances. It's the most outrageous of three spots in a new gratingly irreverent "If it's MTVish, we have it" campaign via La Comunidad in Buenos Aires. Not to air anytime ever in the US. previously: MTV AIDS awareness advertising.

(nsfw) VaginaVertising.

(click ad) H-I-Very racy ad for LILA, a national Italian organization fighting for the rights of AIDS/HIV patients. "It could happen to everyone." OK, so, ad's making two points, I guess? Women get AIDS, too? And sticking the P in the V could mean HIV? Whatever, that's some pretty freaky retouching of the woman's vaginal valley to make that capital "V." And I don't really know what partially showing her nipples accomplishes (image via). Previous VaginaVertising: Tom Ford. The Kotex Beaver. Absolut Vagina. Previous AIDS awareness ads: MTV. Kenneth Cole. Quebec AIDS Coalition. And the coolest AIDS prevention ads ever produced.

(sorta NSFW) Hair of the infected dog.

(click ads to see if you can find your name in the pubes) Brazilians are apparently not popular in Belgium. Poster ads promoting Staying Alive, MTV's global HIV and AIDS awareness and prevention campaign. Previously, the foundation questionably used chewing gum as a metaphor for casual sex. Now, graphic reminders that our love lives are tangled webs of woo (and maybe, woe). Funny note: someone at either MTV or Antwerp ad agency Duval Guillaume is a racy rascal—In the male ad, you'll find the name "Diddy" at about 10 o'clock (images via).

(nsfw) MTV's old-timey porn AIDS awareness ads.

(click ads) "Except for AIDS, nothing has changed" reads the dubious, strategically-placed headline on these flaccid attempts at shockvertising via MTV Brazil. Seriously, what was your real goal with these, MusicTeleVision? To promote condom usage, or to see how cool your logo looked over sepia sluttiness? (images via) Previously in Vintage Porn. LAMPS SCREWING.

(via) It's for World AIDS Day via MTV's Staying Alive. And, you'll learn, lamps don't need condoms, because lamps don't get AIDS. How enlightening. Why lamps? Why not...staplers or corn holders or traffic cones or contact lenses or bird houses or coffee filters or... Previous Staying Alive ads: (nsfw) Pube Posters.

(alleged) sex lives of Mick and Madonna (et al) sell safe sex.

(click ads to read)
MTV Brazil, who recently brought us these vintage porn AIDS awareness ads, takes major liberties here (including spelling liberties...Carmem? Kravtizs? Macconaughey?) with the hooking-up itineraries of many major stars to promote condom usage. The spelling errors point to these being fake ads, but full agency credits are listed at the source and, well, they're now on the Internet which makes them real enough. And, with that last line of the Jagger ad, MTV has confirmed one of the most salacious bits of shagging gossip in rock 'n roll history.

(NSFW) AIDS awareness quickies.

Two of five new "Stop AIDS" commercials you will never ever see in the US, created by Euro RSCG Zurich for the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health. Hmm. Here's what I think: these spots sell hot sweaty quickies much more effectively than safe sex. In fact, I'm going to fuck my art director bareback in the ass on the conference room table as soon as I finish typing this post. Here's the accompanying lovelife Website, if you care (The spots are on YouTube, but not for long. I downloaded them from here). Previous AIDS awareness videos: the faux Hitler sex tape. New MTV safe sex print ads are very cute.

(click ads, via) Yeah, all the revered Internet arbiters of cool stuff seem to love these "sex is no accident" ads via Germany. I guess I like them, too; it's a good idea. Though: I'd like to see what R. Crumb would do with this assignment. Ad agency: Grey Germany. Previous MTV safe sex ads from around the world:

Well, here's a pretty effective AIDS awareness spot.

(via) It's about Zimbabwe, via ad agency D’adda, Lorenzini, Vigorelli, BBDO, Milan, Italy, created for this organization. Being the brilliant ad man that I am, I saw the ending coming almost immediately. But it still held my attention to the end. Just a monumentally tragic situation in Zimbabwe and Africa.
