(ghastly) Photoshop Phacial Abuse of the Week: Virgin Radio.

(click ads, via) Double yikes. This digital facial aging thing is becoming an old ad trick quickly. Just one recent example: Woolite digitally aged hippies to sell its gentle cleaning properties. But these altered zombie faces are ghastly, especially the girl. The posters are currently up in France, including all over Bordeaux, according to tipster Josh. Might as well have stuck Virgin CEO Sir Richard Branson's head on the sk8tr boy.
What makes this campaign even wronger is that, according to Wikipedia, the stations of the Virgin Radio France network play mostly very un-fresh "Hot Adult Contemporary" music. Kidz dig that sound. Previously in: Photoshop Phacial Abuse.

Photoshop Phacial Abuse of the Week: Nissan Cube.

(click ads, via) "Humans aren't symmetrical, why should their cars be?" Good, meaningless, strange point, Nissan. The latest generation of the mini-MPV Cube has an asymmetrical back window, which is...something that doesn't suck, I guess? Fuck if I know. These freaky same-half face people would make chilling horror movie characters, though. Campaign by TBWA Paris. Previously stops on the Worldwide Photoshop Phacial Abuse Tour:
• Digitally-aged hippies via Dubai.
• Maruko bras smush men's faces via Japan
• Skim milk instantly makes fat faces skinny via Saudi Arabia.
• Gruesomely flattened faces sell...something via South Korea.

Photoshop Phacial Abuse of the Week.
(click ad, via) Ouch. Ad by Publicis Indonesia for a Garnier hair tonic product called Neril "anti-hair fall"—for hair so goddamn strong, you'll pull your eye out before you pull a filament out. Would make for a neat drunken bar trick. As a rule, I like no-headline ads. I'm on the fence with this one, though. It certainly graphically depicts the purported product benefit, but it freaks me the fuck out a little too much. Previously in: Photoshop Phacial Abuse of the Week.Friday, July 08, 2011
And here's a model with a huge starburst Photoshopped on her face.
(click ad, via) I think they're referencing the 'ol starburst sale price design element, loathed by highfalutin' art directors everywhere. I think that's what they're doing. Orange is also the national color of The Netherlands, home of this ad. Ad agency: SuperRebel. Previous cases of Phacial Photoshop Abuse here.

Monkey Boy/Girl Ready To Kick Some Dino Ass.

(click ads, via) Well, this is not going to make Alberta creationists happy at all. These cute print ads are part of a new marketing push for an animatronic dinosaur park at the Calgary Zoo. While I usually pan Photoshop Phacial Abuse, these kiddies, especially the girl, are savagely precious. Yes, I know cavekids and dinosaurs didn't cohabit Earth at the same time. So what. By local agency Trigger Communications. Previous good zoo advertising: Copenhagen Zoo: snake on a bus!

Drinking Stoli will take 30 years off your face.
(click ad, via) Photoshop Phacial Abuse of the Week! Man-oh-man, has the "chick magnet" Hef's mug been digitally steam-cleaned or what? Shit, I've downed my share of Russian vodka over the years. Maybe I need to inject it into my forehead? And yes, I would have a drink with me because I don't talk too much, which makes for the perfect drinking buddy.Previous celebs retouched to a fare-thee-well:
