What is it with law firms and animals?

First, Dykema says Zebras are Losers. Second, Bingham McCutchen says Zebras are Winners. Third, why are law firms advertising in the first place? Fourth, if you're gonna advertise, you soulless, billable-hours animals, how bout you get the fuck off the Serengeti and try another stupid borrowed-interest shtick. Babies, maybe?

I understand the mentality here -- see, lawyers fancy themselves wild and free like the tenants of the vast pampas and plains of Africa. They are also relating to PREDATORS, but in the case of Bingham McCutchen, they are claiming to be GOOD GUYS who CHASE DOWN PREDATORS.

Here's the most ironic thing though: according to a book I recently read about why certain animals are easier to domesticate than others, zebras are actualy extremely obnoxious creatures. The duck from being lassoed, are vindictive, and will kick and bite aggressively.

So are the lawyers at Dykeman saying that they are stupid slow moving docile vegetarians among obnoxious biting kicking jerkoffs?? Are the lawyers saying that they ARE obnoxious biting kicking jerkoffs who are stupid enough to chase an animal that wants to eat them?

Why don't they just put three piece suits on chimpanzees?

Speaking of dumb animals, let us not forget the law firm of Morrison & Foerster LLP, which several years ago embarked upon a branding campaign under the moniker MoFo.

The BG ad, though badly photoshopped, atleast makes sense compared to Dykema.

I can think of many souless advertisers apart from lawyers. Come to think of it, one would be hard-pressed to find a soulful advertiser.

I must be tired because I first scanned makethelogobigger's comment "it's hard to overball your clients." Because, it really is.
