THE BLACK LIPS—this is how you do guerrilla marketing.

Every once in a while, I see an ad stunt that makes me feel proud to work in this sycophantic industry (I'm kidding—I never feel proud.). Some clever somebody(ies) has tagged posters all over the East Village to promote the Black Lips show this Monday March 10th at the Bowery Ballroom. (UPDATE: except they've put 3/11 on some of the posters—the wrong date! lazy hipsters!) As tipster/snapper Adam Pawlowski pointed out, they even tagged the posters of other musical acts (Goldfrapp, right). Superb. Are you paying attention stencilled Rambo? Sharpie®-wielding Golden Compass lover?
