Bread slippers: brilliant or stupid?

(click ad) It's an ad by Saatchi & Saatchi Düsseldorf for bakery company Delifrance for their ready-to-bake take-home breads. The debate is raging at Ads Of The World, with cries of fraud, illogicalness, and smelly feet-ness. What do I think? I think I wish I was in Paris right now eating some delicious bread and not working in fucking advertising, that's what. What do you think?

Couldn't agree with you more (on the paris-bread thing). Oh...and on the advertising thing too.

i agree: not much beats bread + paris. the ad? unless parisians frequently eat bread while wearing slippers, the message is whack. so they couldn't think of anything else to do with a baguette?

A pun perhaps on the italian bread, ciabata. A small loaf that rises once, falls and then is baked before it can rise again. It's namesake is the carpet slipper is resembles.
