Cracks starting to show in American Apparel empire?

With skeevy pervert Dov Charney cashing out and sales that "slowed significantly" in 2006, is AA on the verge of heading into the shitter? As the Times article notes, Charney built his company by "exercising strict, and at times controversial, control" over his business. There's no argument it worked, but now what? I admit it, their large t-shirts fit my lean yet ripped body like a glove (right, Georgina?). I really only got one pressing question though, lovey Dovy—did you fuck this one, too? (scanned from the back page of this week's Village Voice.)
previously:
1. American Apparel: made with Dov.
2. A small price to pay for a big package.

I hate those skanky porno ads--and their nuclear-bomb lighting in their Chelsea store. I don't want to see the pores on the face of the person next to me.

The Economist refers to Dov as "an amateur pornographer" in this week's less than glowing profile:

I'd fuck her. Put a bat in her hand, a cap on her head and squint so she resembles Jorge Posada. (She's got those big-ass catcher's thighs going on.)

Batter up!

Yep, that's no ad.

'Cause normally I can't do it to ads.

The comments here are sicker than the ad.
I don't condone the ads, but lets look at calvin klein, budweiser, and all those other companies who have been shopping half naked women around to sell anything from clothes to cars.

I'm not big into AA's ads, but this is definitely one of the nicer ones. More sexy than moronic. She looks a lot more intelligent than the others.

Anyone noticed that Charney has totally gone undercover, he's no longer in the ads, he's not in the videos, he hasn't been profiled in any major/minor publication for a year, is this a good thing, or a bad thing?
